MALAYSIA—The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) held a press conference at Corona Inn Hotel, Jalan Alor, Malasia at 2 p.m. to launch the ‘Human Rights Torch Relay’ that will be passed from Europe and end in Asia, crossing five continents in an effort to alert the world to the worsening of human rights in communist China.
The torch relay is spreading a message, “No Human Rights, No Beijing 2008” and to protest the Chinese Communist Regime’s anti-peace and anti-Olympics Spirit.
CIPFG is holding similar press conferences simultaneously in six countries.
In the wake of the exposure of the crimes of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China, CIPFG has initiated a wide-ranging effort to put an end to this practice, by raising awareness on a global scale, investigations that will lead to the source of this crimes and now the ‘Human Rights Torch Relay. The torch relay will start from Athens, Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics.
According to the official IOC (International Olympic Committee) website:
According to the Olympic Charter, established by Pierre de Coubertin, the goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.
CIPFG and other organizations have tried to apply for visa into China to visit all the labour camps, hospitals and prisons, where Falun Gong practitioners are kept and subjected to torture to force them to renounce their belief.
The Olympic Games were granted to China in 2001, in hopes that China wouldo improve its human rights record. In the past six years, China’s human rights record has not improved but instead has worsened. TheChinese Communist Regime’s slaughter of Chinese people for their organs, which are sold for profit, is the latest violation revealed.
The Olympic Games—a symbol of world peace and global unity—should not be turned into the “Bloody Harvest Games,” CIPFG maintains.
