( On July 10, 2012, the Transplantation Unit of the Medical Development Division of Malaysia and the Malaysian Society of Transplantation held a workshop on “The Realities and Risks of Organ Trafficking.” David Matas, a well-known human rights lawyer in Canada, a 2010 Nobel peace prize nominee, and one of the authors of Bloody Harvest, was invited as the only keynote speaker.

The workshop was enthusiastically supported by the medical community. At 11:30 a.m., more than 100 local medical experts, doctors, nurses, and lawyers concerned about medical ethics attended the workshop at Malaysia Medical College. The conference room was full, and the hosting organization had to add temporary seating.

In his presentation that took more than an hour, Mr. Matas put forward 14 principles that organ transplantation organizations in every country should follow. He emphasized the brutality of Chinese organ trafficking, especially the heinous fact that the entire country has participated in organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, which is different from underground organ trafficking in other countries. In his opinion, however critical a patient’s condition is, one should not sacrifice another person’s life for his or her organs.

According to his presentation, since 1999, China has become the biggest organ transplantation country in the world. Many patients from other countries have gone to China to get new kidneys, livers, or hearts. He said these organs were harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Mr. Matas: The international community needs to stop this atrocity of live organ harvesting

Mr. Matas presented 14 suggestions to the Malaysian government and medical community to help stop the CCP’s crime of live organ harvesting. The suggestions included: not sending any patients to China for organ transplants, refusing to train Chinese medical doctors in organ transplantation, refusing to publish papers that report on using death-row inmates for organ transplantation, denying medical professionals involved in organ trafficking membership in The Transplantation Society, having the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in each country advise tourists not to get organ transplants in China, and not providing health insurance to those patients that go to China for organ transplants.

In answering a question, Mr. Matas said that, although that China is not the only country that traffics in organs, in China it is controlled by government, while in other countries it is underground. He said, “There is organ trafficking in India, but the Indian government attempts to stop it. In China, on the contrary, organ trafficking for lucrative profit involves the police, armed police, military hospitals, and the government itself.”

Mr. Matas pointed out that, since the publication of “Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China” in 2006, many countries have set forth some policies to stop organ trafficking. For example, Australia no longer trains Chinese organ transplantation doctors and Israel does not insure those patients who go to China for organ transplants. Such decisions were based on the investigation report. In addition, the Taiwan government banned organ trafficking.

In concluding he said that he had learned that Malaysia is attempting to establish a code to stop organ trafficking. If successful, Malaysia would be a leader in this effort.

Three experts in organ transplantation in Malaysia agreed that patients that go to other countries for organ transplantation violate medical ethics and encourage organ trafficking, which should be stopped.

Datuk Dr. Harjit Singh: We should keep patients from getting involved in illegal organ transplants

Datuk Dr. Harjit Singh, President of the Malaysian Society of Transplantation, pointed out at a press conference that a responsible person would stop patients involved in illegal organ transplantation. Such illegal transactions focus on profit but not the patient’s health.

He said, “As responsible people, we should keep patients from getting involved in illegal organ transplantation. People should select right and legal channels, not illegal means.”

Datuk Dr. Ghazali Ahmad: Medical Development Division will stop providing medicines for patients that go to other countries for organ transplants

Datuk Dr. Ghazali Ahmad, Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Nephrology, Hospital of Kuala Lumpur, disclosed that the government knew about the occurrence of illegal organ transplantation and that, beginning in 2012, the Medical Development Division no longer provides medicines for patients that go to other countries for organ transplants.

Dr. Lela Yasmin Mansor: We cannot cause more tragedies

Dr. Lela Yasmin Mansor, Chief National Manager, National Transplant Resource Centre, at a press conference

Dr. Lela Yasmin Mansor, Chief National Manager, National Transplant Resource Centre, pointed out in a press conference that the reason for inviting Mr. Matas to give a talk was so that public and the media would know that getting an illegal organ transplant in another country is not a solution. Regarding the CCP’s seizing and killing of Falun Gong practitioners for their organs, Dr. Manor said that illegal organ transplantation encourages organ trafficking, “We cannot cause more tragedies.”

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body. The practice involves slow, gentle movements and meditation. It is easy to learn, enjoyable to practice, and free of charge. Its principles are based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practice began in China in 1992 and quickly spread by word of mouth throughout China and then beyond. Its beneficial effects in uplifting an individual’s physical health, spiritual wellbeing, and moral character, not to mention its positive influence in the community and society as a whole, have been undeniable. In fact, Falun Gong is practiced by over 100 million people in over 100 countries. The main works of Falun Gong are available in over 30 languages.

On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Since the start of the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners throughout the world have been constantly speaking out about the truth of Falun Gong and exposing the CCP’s crimes in a tireless effort to end the persecution.

In 2006, David Matas, international human rights lawyer, and David Kilgour, former Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) for Canada formed an independent investigation team and released their findings to the media on July 6, 2006: “Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China”

Their investigation continued and found new evidence. From 2006 to 2009, they released three reports. Bloody Harvest, published in October 2009, was based on their third report. They stated: “We have concluded that the government of China and its agencies in numerous parts of the country, in particular hospitals but also detention centres and ‘people’s courts’, since 1999 have put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience.”

For several years, Mr. Matas and Mr. Kilgour toured more than 80 cities in over 40 countries to expose the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in hopes of stopping such crimes.

Mr. Matas graduated from Princeton University and the University of Oxford. He has made outstanding contributions in human rights, immigration, and refugee issues. He received the Order of Canada on December 30, 2008, the highest honor from the Canadian government. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 for exposing CCP’s atrocity of live organ harvesting.

Book Launch for Bloody Harvest Held in Singapore

( A book launch for Bloody Harvest was held by the Epoch Times in Singapore on the afternoon of July 8, 2012.

One of the authors, well-known Canadian human rights attorney Mr. David Matas, participated in the book launch, but he was unable to make a speech to the public because the local police temporarily cancelled the permit. The Epoch Times’ President Mr. Lim made a speech on his behalf. The organizer and the attendees found it hard to understand the police’s act.

Mr. Matas answered questions raised by the media. He believes that Falun Gong practitioners’ cultivation of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance is almost a mirror image of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) lying, cruelty, and intolerance. He said that the investigations on the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and the publication of the book in both English and Chinese have achieved a certain effect in raising awareness in the international community about the true situation. Over the past six years, he has been trying to mobilize the public’ concern over the CCP’s killing people for their organs, so as to end the abuse as soon as possible.

Mr. Matas told the reporter that during the investigations, there have been lots of obstacles, cancellations, blockages and some threats. He and Davild Kilgour are just two people, but the other party is the CCP that holds vast national resources. Mr. Kilgour and he have persevered and continued with this difficult job with great patience. He said that as a human rights lawyer, he can’t turn a blind eye to such a crime.

Mr. Matas said that he wanted to ask some people, “Why in the world are you doing nothing, what motivates you to say nothing in the face of this abuse? Surely when people are being killed for their organs, you should do something about it.”

When being asked about his new book State Organs: Transplant Abuse in China, Mr. Matas said that there is no doubt that this heinous crime of live organ harvesting is still ongoing in China. In the new book, coauthored with other doctors, they confirm this crime with the updated figures. Even though the CCP is not transparent, a lot of new data has been released since 2009. According to the latest statistics, such as the number of prisoners sentenced to death and the number of transplants in China in recent years, he wrote an essay, and together with other doctors’ essays, they consolidated them into the new book.

Mr. Matas explained that mankind’s research and the development of organ transplant technology was originally to save people, but now the CCP abuses it to murder people for profit. For this reason, the organ transplants should have a certain code of ethics. In addition, he called upon the Singapore medical profession to learn more about the situation and adhere to their professional ethics. They should not send doctors to China to participate in organ transplants.

The Epoch Times President Mr. Lim said that it is of great significance to introduce this book Bloody Harvest to local people. He said that, Singapore readers, influenced by the mainstream media, are generally not concerned about or are unwilling to be concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong. If they have an opportunity to come to know such an evil thing, and see the factual evidence, they would be moved and re-examine their opinions and attitudes toward Falun Gong.

Audience member Mr. Zhang thanked Mr. Matas for visiting Singapore. He said that Mr. Matas and Mr. Kilgour’s efforts in their independent investigation over the past six years and their courage are admirable. When many of the world’s people are eager to please the CCP, the two authors go against the trend and choose to expose the evil. For Singaporeans, it is very important to learn about the crimes committed by the CCP and be aware of the truth.

On July 6, 2006, after a comprehensive investigation, David Kilgour and David Matas released a 68-page long report: Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China- to the media in Ottawa. The report refers to the crimes committed by the Chinese regime as “a form of evil yet to be seen on this planet.”

The report was revised three times and the book Bloody Harvest–The Killing of Falun Gong for Their Organs was published in October 2009.

Over the past years, Matas and Kilgour have travelled to more than 40 countries and over 80 cities to expose the CCP’s atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. They hope to end this crime as soon as possible.

David Matas was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 for his work related to the investigation of organ harvesting crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in China.

An Evil Gestapo Style organization: CCP’s Political and Legislative Affairs Committee

July 13, 2012

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

As a representative of the WOIPFG (World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong), we declare in this solemn occasion:

The Chinese regime’s security apparatus, the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee (PLAC) is an evil organization similar to the Nazi Gestapo. It is the leading criminal organization responsible for carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong. The persecutions are crimes of genocide, torture and against humanity. It is more hideous than the crimes committed by the Nazis during World War II.

Since July 1999, the PLAC and its “610” office have been controlling the Police, Procuratorate, Court and Justice departments as well as all levels of Party organizations to persecute the Falun Gong. In CCP’s genocidal persecution, Falun Gong practitioners are subject to illegal arrest, detention, torture , illegal court trial, sentencing without charge, etc. Large number of Falun Gong practitioners have been injured , disabled and killed. Especially noteworthy is the organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners for black market profiteering. The killing of Falun Gong practitioners for profit is “a form of evil yet to be seen on this planet.” The persecution has continued for 13 years up to this day, its atrocity and number of victims have far surpassed the imagination of man.

This persecution is directly controlled by Luo Gan and Zhou Yongkang, the former and current PLAC chief. Even today, the PLAC is still carrying on with the persecution. The PLAC does not only single out Falun Gong, it is directly destroying human dignity and conscience. WOIPFG published the “WOIPFG Investigative Reports” on July 10, 2012. It contains 203 investigative reports, which systematically documented the major evidences of how the CCP mobilized the entire State to persecute Falun Gong.

The evil is being exposed, and people are awakening. The stage has been set for the nationwide movement against the persecution. In May 2012, 300 villagers from Zhouguantun Village in Botou City of Hebei Province, 562 residents from Tanghai County, Hebei Province, and 1,500 people in Heilongjiang Province have petitioned for the release of illegally detained local Falun Gong practitioners, and to prosecute those responsible perpetrators. The decade long “red tyranny” staged by the CCP is collapsing rapidly; all those PLAC and 610 office members who participated in the persecution are facing prosecution and criminal charges soon. CCP’s demise is just around the corner.

On the other hand, WOIPFG has received large amount of evidence and data related to those who participated in the persecution, from more and more high ranking CCP officials and government officials. Many police officers had awakened to the truth and realized the genocide nature of this crime, as well as the final outcome and consequence that they will face. They are now actively reporting, disclosing and exposingof the perpetrators, acting as discrete informants, in order to seek some form of protection in the upcoming criminal trials.

The persecution of Falun Gong is genocide and crimes against humanity! Just carrying out orders from a superior cannot be used as an excuse for impunity. As in the Nazi Nuremberg trials, any participant in the crime must shoulder his or her personal responsibility. The only way to repent and make up is to confess your crime, help to expose the criminal conducts of others who have participated. Continuing your criminal offense will not block others, including your partners in crime, to expose and inform on you. Do not give up your only opportunity to stop the crime and save yourself. The dragnet of justice will not let any criminals escape.Criminals must face the consequences, this is the principle of heaven.

In preparation of the forthcoming trials, WOIPFG asks the international community to assist in the collection of criminal evidence of Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang and other PLAC members. We ask for your cooperation with WOIPFG to put an end to this persecution.

WOIPFG’s principle is: Each individual is responsible for the crime he or she committed. An organization’s crime must be charged on individuals. The crime of those who incite and instigate is the same as those who committee the crime. Based on this principle, all criminal charges against all organizations, institutions, units, departments will ultimately fall on individuals, thus ridding of the basis against state crimes. This will fully extend the just of the constitution; maintain the moral and conscience of men. All those perpetrators of crime will be investigated thoroughly and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

WOIPFG is committed to investigate the criminal conduct of all institutions, organizations, and individuals involved in the persecution of Falun Gong; to bring such investigations, no matter how long it takes, no matter how far and deep we have to search, to full closure; to exercise fundamental principles of humanity; and to restore and uphold justice in society.
