One young woman from China was reading the Falun Gong display boards. A Falun Gong practitioner told her about the benefits of Falun Gong, and the brutal persecution in China, including the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crime of harvesting organs from living practitioners. This saddened the woman. She took some introductory materials with her to read, and said that she would find out more information from the Internet, and quit the communist organizations.

Three Chinese students decided to quit the communist organizations on the spot, after they learned the facts about the persecution. More Chinese people learned about the persecution, and told practitioners that they wished Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Communist Party, would be arrested soon. They wished the practitioners great success.

Many local residents showed great support for the practitioners. One woman was upset upon hearing about the persecution. She said she couldn’t understand the irrational conduct of the CCP. Upon hearing that the practitioner’s family member in China had been thrown into prison for practicing Falun Gong, she showed great concern, and told the practitioner to be careful. She welcomed the practitioner to this country of freedom.

Many people expressed interest in learning the Falun Gong exercises, and left their contact information. Excited to see meditation pictures on the display boards, one woman started copying the meditation gestures. She asked Falun Gong practitioners for introductory materials, and left her contact information so that she could learn more.

September 06, 2015

(Minghui.org) A two-week-long signature drive in the Kansai area was successfully completed before the end of August, where more than 4,000 people co-signed on a criminal report against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator who ordered the persecution of Falun Gong.

Japanese people sign the criminal complaint forms against Jiang Zemin.

Many people immediately signed their names when they learned that the criminal report was charging Jiang Zemin, as they wished to bring Jiang to justice as soon as possible.

One lady brought cold drinks for the practitioner volunteers who were working under the summer sun. After learning about the evil deeds of Jiang Zemin, she signed the criminal report without hesitation. She then took a blank form and helped the practitioners to collect more signatures.

A middle-aged woman encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts, saying that the expression of their will was important, and world peace is the people’s will.

By the end of August, more than 4,000 people had signed criminal reports charging Jiang Zemin. All the reports were mailed to the Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court in China.

Shandong Man Given 4 Suspicious Medical Exams During 9 Years in Prison

September 06, 2015 | By a Minghui correspondent from Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Because of his belief in Falun Gong, Mr. Tian Xinfang was arrested five times and imprisoned twice for a total of 9 years and 11 months.

In 2002 he began a 4-year prison term, and in 2008 he started a 5-year sentence. He was brutally tortured in more than 10 different ways and given four suspicious major blood tests and physical exams. Prisons systematically perform blood tests and organ checkups on Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Tian witnessed a very healthy practitioner mysteriously disappear soon after one such checkup.

Suspicious Blood Tests and Physical Exams

Mr. Tian had major blood tests and physical exams done in 2002 and 2003 in the Second Prison in Zhejiang Province, then again in 2010 and 2012 in Taian Prison in Shandong Province. Between these major exams, he also had several minor blood tests and physicals.

For every major exam, a bus with sophisticated medical equipment arrived at the prison. Every detainee was examined, but only the results for Falun Gong practitioners were documented.

Besides blood tests, the checkups included tests for eyesight, color blindness, and heart and liver function. Doctors palpated the heart and liver and asked if there was any pain. They also did X-rays. According to other prisoners, these major checkups only started after Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the prison.

Soon after a major exam in 2002, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Wenping disappeared. The deputy warden claimed that Mr. Wang died from cancer three months after he was released. However, people remember Mr. Wang as being extremely healthy and energetic before he disappeared.

Mr. Wang had retired from the Daqing Petroleum Company in Shaoxin City, Zhejiang Province. He was about 60 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his belief. Mr. Wang was very good at sports. His mind and body were extremely quick when he played table tennis and basketball with younger adults. A prison guard often asked him to play table tennis because he was so good at it.

Tortured in the Second Prison in Zhejiang Province

In order to avoid arrest at home in Heze City, Shandong Province, Mr. Tian went to live in Leqing, Zhejiang Province, in early 2002. He was arrested in March that year for distributing Falun Gong materials and subsequently sentenced to 4 years.

Not long after he was admitted to the Second Prison in Zhejiang Province, because he refused to give up his belief, he was detained for nine days in a 10-foot-square solitary room without a window. There he was shocked with electric batons, was forced to stand for 16 hours per day, and was not allowed to leave for the bathroom or meals. His left toe festered and has not healed since he left the prison four years ago.

Mr. Tian’s drinking water was restricted, and he was only allowed limited bathroom use. He could only take cold water showers. He was forced to work under the sun when the temperature was 104 degrees. For 10 days, he was forced to sit on a small stool in a fixed position for 15 hours per day.

In June 2003, Mr. Tian was forced to stand for 15 hours a day for 21 days in a room far away from the prison. There the police used three electric batons to shock to him for three hours. This happened multiple times.

Tortured in Taian Prison in Shandong Province

When Mr. Tian served his second prison term in Taian Prison, Shandong Province, he actively talked to other inmates about Falun Gong. Two prisoners started to practice with him. Through Mr. Tian, many prisoners supported Falun Gong and quit the Chinese Communist Party.

One of the prisoners was in charge of printers in the prison. Through Mr. Tian and other practitioners, he obtained a flash drive with the contents of Zhuan Falun and printed it. The printout was discovered and someone reported it to the guards. The guards dared not report it to their supervisors and tortured Mr. Tian instead.

The following are some of the forms of torture that Mr. Tian endured.

Solitary confinement

The police once put Mr. Tian in solitary confinement for two and a half months. For a period of time, he was locked inside a 10-foot-square cell 24/7. He was not allowed to use the bathroom and had to use a bucket in the cell.

Mr. Tian protested with a hunger strike. He explained to the guards and prisoners that he had to, because he was not allowed to use the bathroom. He was allowed to return to a normal cell after three days on his hunger strike.

Sitting on a small stool

For more than two years, the police forced Mr. Tian to sit on a little stool for more than 10 hours per day to watch videos defaming Falun Gong. Mr. Tian refused to give up his belief, and encouraged other practitioners not to give up their belief. He held hunger strikes twice to protest. The guards beat and force-fed him.

Thrown to the floor during hunger strike

When Mr. Tian was on a hunger strike, he was lifted up by several prisoners and then thrown from three feet to a hard ceramic tile floor. This was repeated several times.

Force-fed dirty water

The guards stuffed Mr. Tian’s mouth with dirty mops. They also force-fed him with water from a toilet bowl.

Slapped with shoes, feet stomped on, and forced to do a split

Mr. Tian’s face was slapped with a leather shoe more than 10 times. One week after Mr. Tian started a hunger strike, he was forced to stand. One prisoner kicked his leg. Another prisoner stepped on his right foot. Mr. Tian was also forced to do side splits repeatedly, causing extreme pain to his legs.

Squeezing the fingers against a shoe brush

The guards put a shoe brush between Mr. Tian’s fingers and then forced his fingers against each other until the brush broke.

Abuse

The guards poured chili oil into Mr. Tian’s anus. Then they used the bottom of a shoe and a piece of wood to slap his buttocks several dozen times. Then they sprinkled salt into the wound. Several people pressed Mr. Tian’s wounded anus onto a bench and turned him to cause more pain. This torture lasted for two days.

Force-fed drug

When Mr. Tian held a hunger strike, he was often force-fed with concentrated salt water, making him more thirsty. He was also forced to take an unknown drug twice. Afterwards he was not able to speak properly and he became confused.

People in Zurich Call for an End to the Persecution

September 05, 2015 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in Switzerland

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland held Information Day activities at Hirschenplatz and Limmatquai, two popular areas of Zurich, in July and August 2015. They provided information to the public about the benefits of Falun Gong cultivation practice and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many Zurich residents and tourists from around the world expressed their support for Falun Gong, and signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

One woman spoke to a Falun Gong practitioner about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners: “I’m very disturbed. I can’t believe such things are still happening in this age…I wish success to those who are working to stop it!”

Toni and Nina learned about Falun Gong and the persecution for the first time. After signing the petition, Toni said, “What is happening in China [organ harvesting] is a despicable crime. It must stop!” Nina said, “It’s so brutal! Everyone has the right to live.” Both of them agreed that the persecution of Falun Gong shouldn’t have happened, and that people should enjoy freedom of belief. One of them wrote on the petition, “Such things shouldn’t be allowed to happen any more. Everyone should live without fear.” Toni hopes that more people will learn about the persecution and help stop the organ harvesting crimes.

Daniel from the U.K. hopes that his signature will help those suffering persecution. He said, “It [organ harvesting] is abominable. I can’t imagine that someone in this world would do that. It’s disgusting!” Daniel had learned about Falun Gong on the Internet. He remarked, “Falun Gong is peaceful, and gives me a good feeling.”

Lino called the persecution of Falun Gong an “extreme terror,” and said it must stop. He had found out about Falun Gong by talking with a practitioner several years before. Lino said, “I’m deeply fascinated by Falun Gong. It guides people to self-improvement. It’s so important for me. Falun Gong deserves people’s respect.”

Over the course of the Information Days, many people learned about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong, and became interested in practicing it. Some took information about where to learn Falun Gong. Others took introductory materials for their family and friends. A number of people volunteered to help collect signatures. One woman told Falun Gong practitioners that her son had called her and asked her to come out and sign the petition.

Tourists from China also took this opportunity to learn about Falun Gong. Some of them decided to quit the Chinese Communist organizations that they had joined before. Several visitors from China told practitioners that they were happy to see that practitioners in their cities had resumed doing the Falun Gong exercises.

When some people commented that illegal seizure of organs also takes place in other countries, a practitioner told them, “The organ harvesting in China is sanctioned by the government, and carried out with the collaboration of the military, the legal system, the police system and the medical system. Organs have been listed with their prices on hospital websites. It is purely murder for profit by the state apparatus. What takes place in other areas in terms of illegal organ harvesting is not comparable. Not only Falun Gong practitioners, but also those involved in organ harvesting are victims of the crime.”

All who learned about the atrocities expressed the hope that the killing will soon stop.

303 Falun Gong Practitioners from Yi County, Liaoning Province Sue Jiang Zemin

September 05, 2015

(Minghui.org) 303 Falun Gong practitioners from Yi County, Liaoning Province have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin between June 7 and August 19, 2015, according to reports compiled by the Minghui website.

The practitioners charge the former Chinese dictator with initiating the brutal suppression of Falun Gong and hold him responsible for the tremendous suffering inflicted upon them by his campaign. The criminal complaints were mailed to the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and 96% of the practitioners have been notified of the receipt of their complaints by the Procuratorate.

Many of these practitioners recounted how Falun Gong returned them to health and gave them a new outlook on life. Their dream to live a healthier and happier life, however, was shattered when Jiang Zemin launched a nationwide campaign to eradicate the practice in 1999.

Simply for refusing to give up their belief, they were arrested, detained, tortured, and had their homes ransacked and personal belongings seized by the communist authorities. Many also saw their families implicated for their belief, while some were also forced to pay huge fines.

Selected Practitioner Complaints

Ms. Cui Guohua (崔国华)

Ms. Cui Guohua, in her 60s, was illegally arrested and detained six times, was sent to forced labor camps twice, and extorted 7,000 yuan in cash.

“I was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on August 6, 2008. A male guard named Liu Wei shocked me on my face, neck, hands, and arms with an electric baton,” Ms. Cui wrote in her complaint. “Later, they tied me between two bunk beds; my feet were tied to a bottom frame and my arms were stretched out and cuffed to the frame at the head of the bed. My back was bent forward and I could not move. They shocked my arms with electric batons until I almost passed out.”

Mr. Li Shijun (李世军)

Mr. Li Shijun, an excellent school teacher, was detained three times and sent to a forced labor camp for a year. He was allowed medical parole four months later. His home was searched and ransacked five times and his family was extorted over 18,000 yuan.

On the morning of June 20, 2008, police from the the “610 Office” in Jinzhou and local police broke into Mr. Li’s home. They ransacked the place and took him to Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp for a year.

“I was forced to sit on a small stool and work 16 to 17 hours a day, packing disposable chopsticks. My blood pressure went up to over 200, and I developed a heart condition such that I had difficulty breathing. I was released on bail four months later. By then I could hardly walk and my complexion was pallid,” Mr. Li wrote in his complaint.

Ms. Huang Shulan (黄淑兰)

Ms. Huang Shulan, 78, recovered from her poor health by practicing Falun Gong.

When the persecution started, police continually harassed her family. Sometime between May and June in 2001, a group of police broke into her home and tried to take her away. She refused to go with them, so the police took her husband instead and detained him for over ten days at Yi County Detention Center. He was released only after police extorted over 1,000 yuan from her family.

Ms. Huang’s husband became ill from extreme anger and fear, and passed away a few days after his release.

Mr. Wang Jungang (王俊刚)

Mr. Wang Jungang is 49 years old. He and his wife both practice Falun Gong and have benefited greatly from the practice.

During the persecution, his wife was twice arrested and sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years.

“Our whole family was thrown into misery after my wife was taken away. As I cleaned up the mess after police ransacked our home, tears rolled down my face. My son was very scared and was crying… … My home was no longer like a home and my son lost his happy smile. His school work was badly affected, too. He used to be an excellent student but, because of what happened in our family, he could not even graduate from high school,” Mr. Wang wrote in his complaint.

“My wife became mentally disordered as a result of persecution at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. For a long time after she came back home, she seldom talked and never smiled. It took two years before she regained her senses.”

Additional Cases

Ms. Pang Chunjie (庞春杰) is suing Jiang for persecuting a cultivation practice that turned her and her husband into better people. Three years ago a foreman working for her husband, then a project manager in charge of 26 laborers, stole all the money meant for paying workers. Unable to locate the foreman, she and her husband used their savings plus some loans to pay their workers. In Ms. Pang’s words, “We wouldn’t have done such a thing had we not practiced Falun Gong.”

Ms. Meng Xiangli (孟项丽) was illegally arrested 11 times and was twice sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The police also extorted over 10,000 yuan from her family.

Ms. Luo Xiangyin (罗香银) is a school teacher. She was illegally arrested numerous times and had over 10,000 yuan extorted from her for appealing for justice for Falun Gong.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang’s directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.

Hong Kong: Twenty Thousand Sign Criminal Report Forms against Former Chinese Dictator

September 05, 2015

(Minghui.org) The recent wave of lawsuits agains former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin has received strong support from Hong Kong citizens.

Since May, over 165,000 Falun Gong practitioners from Mainland China and throughout the world have filed lawsuits against Jiang for launching and directing the persecution of Falun Gong.

According to Chinese law, any individual with knowledge of a crime can report it to the Chinese Supreme Procuratorate and Court.

Acting on this law, over 21,000 Hong Kong citizens have signed criminal report forms in the last two months, echoing the lawsuits.

Similar signature campaigns have been circulating in the Asia-pacific areas, and have also caught on in Europe and America. Tens of thousands of Taiwanese signed criminal report forms to support the movement to bring Jiang to justice.

Several Hong Kong Legislative Council Members have also joined the movement.

Lee Cheuk Yan, a Legislative Council Member, feels that this is everyone’s responsibility. “Jiang suppresses human rights, and has committed crimes against humanity. Everybody has witnessed this. So, I believe that everybody should speak out and help bring him to justice,” he said.

Mr. Lee Cheuk Yan after signing a criminal report form.

Leung Yiu-chung, also a Legislative Council Member, said, “It is great that Falun Gong practitioners are filing lawsuits against Jiang. I hope that more people will do the same, and force the Communist Party to face the crimes that they have committed.”

Mr. Leung Yiu-chung holds a signed criminal report form.

Fung Chi-wood, a former Legislative Council Member, believes that suing Jiang holds great significance. “The persecution of Falun Gong involves many criminals in the Party. The persecution is horrible, and the murderers must be punished,” he said. “I hope that these criminals will be tried not only in China, but also in the international court.”

Fung Chi-wood calls upon more Hong Kong citizens to support Falun Gong, and to help bring Jiang to justice.

Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong have held various activities to raise public awareness of the lawsuits and collect signatures on the criminal report forms. During the last weekend of August, practitioners collected more than 3,000 signatures at seven locations in Hong Kong, despite heavy rains.

Many who signed were tourists from mainland China.

Mr. Chen from Guangdong was glad to learn about the lawsuits. He signed the form, and said, “This is a sign that the Communist Party is about to crash down.”

Two businessmen from China echoed Mr. Chen, “Jiang Zemin is terrible. People should have put him in jail a long time ago. We support the lawsuits, and wish Falun Gong success.”
