525 Falun Gong Practitioners from Hefei City, Anhui Province Sue Jiang Zemin

September 09, 2015

(Minghui.org) A total of 525 Falun Gong practitioners from Hefei City, Anhui Province, have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party, since May to August 23, 2015.

According to reports compiled by the Minghui website, as of late August 2015, 2288 practitioners from the whole of Anhui Province have mailed their complaints to the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate.

The practitioners accuse Jiang of initiating the brutal suppression of Falun Gong in July 1999, which resulted in their being arrested and sentenced for not giving up their belief in Falun Gong.

The majority of them endured being arrested, detained, sentenced, physically and mentally tortured, and having their homes ransacked and personal belongings seized.

Details from several these practitioners cases are below:

Ms. Bi Xiaojun (毕小俊), 51, a musician who used to work at the Huangmei Opera Theater in Anhui. She was arrested 6 times between July 1999 and 2006. During that time, she was held at the Hefei City Detention Center and Brainwashing Center. She was later sentenced to 4 years in Suzhou Women’s Prison in Anhui.

Ms. Bi was severely tortured while she was detained, such as being tied to a death bed}, having her hands cuffed and legs shackled, being forced to sit on a chair for 72 days, and being deprived of sleep. She was also put in solitary confinement and was beaten until she lost consciousness. She was made to do unpaid hard labor for over 10 hours a day.

Ms. Huang Liping (黄丽萍) from the Hefei City said in her complaint: “I was arrested in September 2005 while visiting my friend. I was held in the Xinhua Hotel for a month. When I was interrogated, the police handcuffed me to a window, and interrogated me more than 10 hours a day. The police also threatened me, saying that if I let people know how I was tortured, they would take revenge on my son.

I was later sentenced to eight years in the Suzhou Women’s Prison. I was deprived of sleep. The guard put unknown drugs into my cup, and I was muddleheaded and my memory deteriorated.

Before Ms. Huang was sentenced, people from the local police department, police station and residential committee frequently harassed her by either visiting or phoning her. Whenever the phone rang, her parents and son were frightened.

Ms. Wu Lanying (吴兰英), 69, wrote in her complaint: “I was arrested in May 20, 2005, while I was handing out informational materials about Falun Gong and the persecution. A month later I was sent to the local provincial women’s forced labor camp for a year and a half.

“I was subjected to brainwashing sessions for two months in an attempt to get me to renounce my belief. I also had to work 16-18 hours a day and wasn’t allowed to sleep without completing the quota. During my detention, my family was forced to pay 5000 yuan.”

Ms. Li Shaocong (李绍聪), 58, was arrested at work in October 2011 for the fourth time. She was taken to the Qingxilu Brainwashing Center in Hefei.

The people who tried to brainwash her put unknown drugs into the soup, which was done to destroy her central nervous system in an attempt to make her give up her belief. After drinking the soup, she became muddleheaded. They tried to get her to write {{guarantee statements to renounce her belief, but she refused. Later on they forced her to put her fingerprint on the statements.

The following practitioners also filed criminal complaints.

Ms. Jin Shaolian (金绍莲), 69, professor.Cui Huaixiu (崔怀修), 79.Mr. Yao Shenchuan (姚圣川), 77.Ms. Zhang Shanying (张善英), 73.Wang Guohua (汪国华), 90.Yu Jun (余俊), 95.

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners during the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang’s directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
