Police and Citizens Alike Hope for End of Communist Regime

September 10, 2015

(Minghui.org) Nowadays, more and more people–including the police–are choosing not to participate in the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Policemen Laugh

A practitioner in her 70s from our village put up posters that said “Bring Jiang Zemin to justice” for everyone to see. She was reported and arrested six days later. Her daughter went to the police station as soon as she heard.

“Mom, why didn’t you tell me? I would have gone with you. You can’t see the surveillance cameras” her daughter said, and all the policemen in the room laughed.

She was released 6 days later, though the police originally said that she would be detained for 12 days.

Station Chief: “I Hope the Party Falls Apart Today”

The chief of a local police station and another officer went to Ms. Wang’s home on July 20, 2014, but she was not there. The chief asked her son for her cellphone number.

He called her and asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. She told him that she would never stop, and that he and everyone else knew that she practiced Falun Gong. He left before she got home.

The chief called her again two days later and complained that she had publicized his telephone number online, and he was getting calls from Falun Gong practitioners around the world. They told him about the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party has done and how it is destined to collapse.

“I hope the Party falls apart today, because it forces me to do bad things to Falun Gong practitioners,” he said. He asked that practitioners stop harassing him.

“Do you think they are calling to harass you? What about you calling me and coming to my home?” retorted Ms. Wang. The chief laughed.

University Students: Communist Party Is On Its Last Legs

While visiting, my friend told me that her daughter’s roommates were looking for her daughter. She told them that her daughter went to a Communist Party branch meeting.

They were shocked and asked why a pretty girl like her would attend such a meeting. One of them questioned how long it would be before the Party falls.

Taiwan: 23 Keelung City Councilors Support Lawsuits Against Former Dictator Jiang Zemin

September 09, 2015 | By Minghui correspondent Zheng Yuyan in Taiwan

(Minghui.org) In support of global efforts to bring Jiang Zemin, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) dictator, to justice, 23 councilors in Keelung City openly voiced their support at the last meeting of the 18th Session of the Keelung City Council.

Jiang Zemin created a human rights crisis by ordering the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. Over the course of the brutal 16-year campaign, practitioners have been subjected to torture and forced organ harvesting while they were still alive.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many Falun Gong practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.

The wave of suing Jiang began in May 2015. The latest number shows that over 160,000 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members have filed lawsuits against Jiang.

Councilors Support the Courageous Action

Keelung City councilor Tsai Shih-ying

“I am glad to have this opportunity to sign and report Jiang’s crimes, and support such an action,” said councilor Tsai Shih-ying. He admired the 160,000 Falun Gong practitioners who chose to stand up and expose the crimes Jiang committed. He hopes that the Supreme Procuratorate will prosecute Jiang.

Councilor Lu Mei-ling

Councilor Lu Mei-ling was more than willing to sign and report Jiang’s crimes. “For those who committed crimes, we not only have to expose him, but also bring him to justice. It’s to set the record straight and protect human rights.” She saluted the Falun Gong practitioners who risked their safety to file the lawsuits.

Redressing Falun Gong

Councilor Chang Chin-huang stressed that he truly admired the practitioners who have stood up to press charges against Jiang. “I call upon the Chinese authorities to actively investigate the charges and redress Falun Gong practitioners,” said Chang.

“What the Chinese regime is doing (to persecute Falun Gong) is wrong and I’d like to support such an activity (to sign and report Jiang’s crimes),” said Councilor Lien En-tien.

Dr. Lu Ying-shih

Dr. Lu Ying-shih came to the council meeting to sign the criminal report form. He is highly concerned about the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

“Harvesting organs from living people is a severe human rights violation,” Lu Shih-ying said. “As a medical doctor, I think that it’s a terrible violation of a person’s body. I admire those courageous practitioners who chose to stand up.”

Stop the Persecution and Bring Back the Universal Values

Besides supporting the lawsuit, the councilors called upon the Chinese government to value human rights and universal values and stop the persecution.

Councilor Chen Tung-tsai calls on Beijing to treat Faun Gong practitioners with kindness, “Everyone in the world is watching.”

Councilor Shih Shih-ming calls on the Chinese communist regime to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

When talked about the persecution and organ harvesting from living practitioners, councilor Shih Shih-ming said that people in Taiwan must speak up and tell the CCP to stop immediately. “Taiwan must speak up for those who are suffering in the persecution and demand the Chinese communist regime end these heinous acts.”

Four Falun Gong Practitioners and Family Members Beaten by Police

September 10, 2015 | By a Minghui corespondent in Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Four Falun Gong practitioners from Fengren District, Tangshan City were arrested in Zhenzi Town of Luan County on July 24, 2015 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

The four practitioners are Ms. Sun Shuping, Ms. Sun Yanzhi, Ms. Niu Ruiqin and Mr. Cai Hongshu.

Deputy Police Chief Beats Practitioners

Feng Guozhong, deputy police chief, hit Mr. Cai’s face twice, Ms. Sun Yanzhi’s face twice and Ms. Niu’s face once, while another police officer held them by their hair.

The practitioners were body searched and their belongings were confiscated. Police also attempted to draw blood from them, but the practitioners resisted and the police finally gave up.

Family Members Beaten

When the families of the practitioners found out about the arrest, they went to the police station and were brutally beaten as well.

“A young officer held my hair from behind my back. Another one held my right arm with one hand and beat my right shoulder with his other hand,” said one of the family members.

She continued, “I was beaten down to the ground and the severe pain made me almost pass out. The police yelled and cursed at me while they beat me and pulled some of my hair out.”

Deputy police chief Feng entered the room and when told about the beating he said, “I didn’t see anything.”

Harassed After Release

The practitioners were taken to the Luan County Detention House on July 25. Ms. Sun Yanzhi, Mr. Cai and Ms. Niu were detained for 15 days and released on August 9, 2015.

Ms. Sun Shuping’s family was told that she was picked up by police from the Zhenzi Town Police Station on August 7. Police at Zhenzi Town released her on bail on August 10, 2015.

While in the police station, Ms. Sun Shuping was tied to a metal chair for 16 hours. Her legs were swollen and she could not raise her left arm. The police tried to have her admitted to the No.1 Detention Center of Tangshan City three times, but failed because of her poor health.

Seven people, including Liu Shuqing from the Luan County Domestic Security Division, Feng Guozhong from the Zhenzi Town Police Station, and Zeng Xianghai from the Fengrui District Domestic Security Division harassed Ms. Sun Shuping and ransacked her home three days after her release. They confiscated Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong.
