Rally in Finland to Protest the Persecution of Falun Gong

October 05, 2015 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in Finland

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Finland held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate on September 29, 2015, to protest the persecution of Falun Gong in China that has continued for 16 years and to demand that Jiang Zemin to be brought to justice.

Since May of this year, more than 180,000 Falun Gong practitioners both inside and outside of China have filed lawsuits or criminal reports, charging the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) with persecuting Falun Gong.

One practitioner, Ms. Lin, listed the crimes Jiang has committed since 1999, including his launching of the persecution, the creation of the 610 Office, and the systematic harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Mrs. Zhu Luoxin (left) recounts the persecution her family endured in China.

Mrs. Zhu Luoxin, another practitioner, recounted the persecution she and her family endured in China. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison for practicing Falun Gong. Her husband Wu Zhiping was held in a forced labor camp for 2 years.

The couple had been separated for 11 years before they finally reunited in Finland. Of the six people in their family who practiced Falun Gong, two of them lost their lives due to the persecution. Luoxin and Zhiping mailed their indictment against Jiang in June of this year.

Mrs. Zhu’s mother-in-law, a retired vice president of a Chinese hospital in her 70s, was sentenced to 7 years in prison for refusing to give up practicing Falun Gong. She died in February 2006. Ms. Zhu’s aunt, a retired middle school teacher in her 60s, was picked up by the 610 Office 3 times and tortured brutally, before she died in 2004. Ms. Zhu’s brother-in-law Wu Zhijun was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Her sister-in-law was also held in a forced labor camp.

During the rally, Falun Gong practitioners showed a video about the CCP harvesting organs from living practitioners and demonstrated the 5 Falun Gong exercises. By letting the public know that the CCP has lied about Falun Gong, practitioners hope people won’t be deceived by the CCP. They are convinced that justice will win out and Jiang will be brought to justice.

61-Year-Old Woman Suffers Spinal Fracture in Chongqing Brainwashing Center

October 06, 2015 | By Minghui Correspondent in Chongqing, China

(Minghui.org) 61-year-old Ms. Qiu Cuixiang suffered a spinal fracture and became emaciated during a one-month detention in a brainwashing center.

Detained and tortured for her belief in Falun Gong, Ms. Qiu was released from the brainwashing center on September 21, 2015.

Ms. Qiu, from Shapingba District in Chongqing, was arrested on August 21 at the Xinjie Bus Station for talking to a security guard in her residential district about Falun Gong. The guard reported her to the police. The police ransacked her home.

Immediately after the arrest, Ms. Qiu’s older brother and two younger sisters went to the Xinqiao Police station. The head of the police station asked them if they also practiced Falun Gong. Although Ms. Qiu’s sister is not a practitioner, she boldly shouted: “Yes, I practice Falun Gong! So what? Falun Gong is great, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!”

They were told that Ms. Qiu was being held by the Shapingba District Police. At Shapingba Police headquarters, an officer admitted that Ms. Qiu was there, but refused to let them see her.

After Ms. Qiu was transferred to the Qiangouzi Brainwashing Center, she upheld her belief in Falun Gong, refusing to comply with anything the guards asked of her.

They tortured her and after her lumbar spine was fractured, she began to suffer severe pain when standing or sitting. She had to stay in bed on her back.

The other practitioners were released, but Ms. Qiu was the only practitioner in the brainwashing center. They made two attempts to transfer her to the Baiheling Detention Center, but the center refused to accept her due to her condition.

Falun Gong Practitioners from Jinchang City, Gansu Province Sue Jiang Zemin

October 06, 2015

(Minghui.org) Many Falun Gong practitioners from Jinchang City, Gansu Province have filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin recently, according to reports compiled by the Minghui website.

The practitioners charge the former Chinese dictator with initiating the brutal suppression of Falun Gong and hold him responsible for the tremendous suffering inflicted upon them by his campaign. The criminal complaints were mailed to the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate.

Many of these practitioners recounted how Falun Gong returned them to health and gave them a new outlook on life. Their dream to live a healthier and happier life, however, was shattered when Jiang Zemin launched a nationwide campaign to eradicate the practice in 1999.

Simply for refusing to give up their belief, they were arrested, detained, tortured, and had their homes ransacked and personal belongings seized by the communist authorities. Many also saw their families implicated for their belief; some were also forced to pay huge fines.

Some Jinchang City practitioners who filed criminal complaints were in their seventies. Below, we profile four such practitioners.

Ms. Shi Ruzhen, 76, once worked in Gansu Province Geo-Exploration and Mining Development Bureau. Her home was ransacked three times—2000, 2001, and 2009. On March 16, 2010, she was sentenced to three years in prison.

Ms. Yang Xiufang (楊秀芳), a retiree from Jinchuan, was arrested four times and taken to the addiction treatment center twice for more than four months. During her forced detention authorities made her pay for her living expenses. She was forced to pay frequent fines even though her pension was suspended from 2002 to 2006.

Bowing to pressure from the CCP and police, Ms. Yang’s husband gave up the practice of Falun Gong that removed his diseases and brought him good heath. In 2004, he suffered a stroke and couldn’t take care of himself.

Ms. Zhang Shumei, 68, who retired from Yongchang Carpet Factory, was arrested twice, at the end of 1999 and 2002 for more than six months. Police told her family to pay for her living expenses in the detention center.

Police went to his home and harassed her almost every month. Ms. Zhang said she had no idea how many times her home had been ransacked. They yelled at her, “If you continue practicing Falun Gong, we will cut off your retirement pension, then you will have nothing to eat!”

Under intense threats and pressure, Ms. Zhang Shumen’s husband suffered a heart attack and passed away two years later.

Ms. Kong Shuying, 70, was arrested three times and taken to an addiction treatment center once. Police went to her home to harassed her for several days. Her five-year-old grandson was so frightened that he peed in his pants. She was forced to leave home to avoid persecution, but police never stop monitoring her.

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang’s directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
