(Minghui.org) Voices all over Taiwan are speaking out in support of Falun Gong practitioners’ lawsuits against the former Chinese communist leader Jiang Zemin, who ordered the violent suppression of Falun Gong in mainland China that is still ongoing today.
Since the end of May, nearly 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners have filed criminal complaints against Jiang with the Supreme People’s Court. Echoing the flood of lawsuits, 550,000 Asians, including 280,000 Taiwanese, have signed a petition calling to prosecute Jiang Zemin.
Taipei: Spectators Horrified at Forced Organ Harvesting Reenactment
On October 17, Falun Gong practitioners from Taipei held an exhibition at Ximending, one of the busiest shopping districts in Taipei, to inform the public about the lawsuits and ask for help to stop the persecution. Practitioners re-enacted the killing of detained practitioners to harvest their organs, a state-sanctioned crime in China, and collected signatures.
Practitioners re-enact forced organ harvesting and tell the public about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the lawsuits against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin.
The brutality of the persecution, especially the harvesting of organs from living practitioners without consent, horrified passersby. Local residents and foreign tourists alike expressed their strong support for ending the persecution and holding the perpetrators accountable.
Aslan from Germany said, “It’s impossible in China…I have read Falun Gong books and support your peaceful resistance.”
Local residents Mr. Jian and Mrs. Zhan both signed the petition. Mrs. Zhan said, “Falun Gong’s teaching, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, is a basic moral standard. The persecution that Jiang Zemin launched and the organ harvesting defy the laws of heaven. It is great that Falun Gong practitioners are suing him. He should be brought to justice. Everybody should support the lawsuits. I just did something I should do. I hope my signature helps.”

1,000 Signatures in Hsinpei
At a Hsinpei train station on October 18, practitioners displayed a photo exhibit showing Falun Gong being practiced all over the world, played waist drums and sang, and demonstrated the exercises. The Divine Land Marching Band, made up of local practitioners, played at the event. More than 1000 locals signed the petition.
Chief of the Shulin District, Lin Yaochang, welcomed the practitioners and thanked them for their contribution to the community.
City council member Chen Shirong said that Falun Gong is a good friend of the people in the Shulin District. Mr. Chen signed the petition supporting the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin before the event.
