(Minghui.org) Officers from six police stations in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, harassed Falun Gong practitioners on October 13-20, 2015, for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime.
Police interrogated and demanded that 12 practitioners come to the police station for questioning. The focus of the questioning centered on the practitioners’ degree of involvement in suing Jiang, and with practicing Falun Gong.
However, the practitioners responded with clear and concise answers. Most police officers were polite as a result. Nonetheless, the belongings of some practitioners were confiscated.
Police React to Suing Jiang Zemin
Officers from the Zhenzhulu Police Station arrested Mr. Sun Xianying, 73. At the police station, they interrogated him in a basement for 33 hours on October 13. He was released after the police tried three times unsuccessfully to transfer him to a detention center.
Officers from the Linjiang Police Station questioned practitioners Ms. Lan and Ms. Zhang Hong.
Officers from the Xingdong Police Station demanded that Mr. Song Zhendong come to the police station, where he was questioned upon arriving. They ransacked his home and found about 80 Falun Gong books.
Officers from the Liudao Border Police Station demanded that Mr. Wei Liming come to the police station, where he was questioned.
Officers from the Liudaogou Border Police Station went to Mr. Shao Zhongye and Ms. Wang Xueying’s home to question them. They were ordered to sign a statement, but refused.
Officers from the Maokuishang Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Cui, Mr. Yang, and Mr. Xie, and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong at Mr. Xie’s home. They also confiscated the introduction to Zhuan Falun, Falun Gong’s main book, at Mr. Yang’s home.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, then head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has killed countless Falun Gong practitioners during the past 16 years. Many have been murdered for their organs. Others have been imprisoned and tortured for their belief. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of this brutal persecution.
Under Jiang’s direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security force, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides the police and judicial system. The 610 Office carries out Jiang’s directive to eradicate Falun Gong: ruin practitioners’ reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Jiang stepped down as head of the CCP in 2002, but he has exerted much power from the shadows through a network of officials he put in place.
Chinese law now allows citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
