Munich Residents: Action Needed to Stop the Persecution

November 13, 2016 | By Minghui correspondent Li Xinci

( Nearly one thousand Falun Gong practitioners marched in Munich, Germany on November 5, 2016 to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, including killing practitioners for their organs.

The march last nearly three hours. It began from Odeonsplatz and passed by several landmark buildings and main streets before arriving at Max-Joseph Square. The march attracted the attention of many local residents and tourists, including some Chinese.

Signature Drive to End the Persecution of Falun Gong in China is Held in Germany’s Black Forest

October 19, 2016 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in Germany

( Falun Gong practitioners held a signature drive on October 15, 2016 in Villingen-Schwenningen, a German city in the Black Forest. The signature drive petition called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

This old town has less than 100,000 population, but attracts 80,000 visitors annually, and many tourist groups from China have also flocked here in recent years, as it retains the historical attractions and cultural heritage of the medieval Austrian lordship.

Police Officer: You’re Doing a Good Deed!

A police officer on duty came to the practitioners’ booth and said that she had expected it to be noisy because the permit was for a protest: protesting the persecution of Falun Gong in China. She didn’t expect that a protest would be so quiet. The exercise music was gentle and soothing, and discussions between Falun Gong practitioners and passersby were in low voices. People passing by to sign the petition showing support were in a continuous stream.

Encountering such a peaceful protest was a surprise for the police officer. She said she had never seen such a peaceful protest before.

She said it’s right that practitioners tell people about the forced organ harvesting atrocities in China. “You’re doing a good deed!” she said.

A Swiss Couple Shocked by Forced Organ Harvesting Atrocities in China

A couple from Switzerland learned about Falun Gong for the first time. They were outraged and signed the petition after they learned about the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The wife was shocked to learn that more than one million Falun Gong practitioners may have been killed for their organs by the Chinese Communist regime, according to the investigative results by a few independent investigators.

The husband said that if it is true, the Chinese Communist regime is the world’s top terrorist organization.

Local Residents: The Whole World Should Work Together to Stop Organ Harvesting

A local resident in his 60s said that people’s morality has slid down sharply nowadays, and their minds focus only on making money. “Such things as killing people and selling their organs for profit should not happen. The world is really finished if people have no morals.”

He also said that governments should stand up and say “No” to the forced organ harvesting atrocities. The whole world should work together to stop it.

Frankfurt, Germany: Falun Dafa Group Inspires and Informs at the Parade of Cultures

July 01, 2016 | By Minghui correspondent De Xiang

( Falun Dafa practitioners joined the “Parade der Kulturen” (Parade of Cultures) in Frankfurt, Germany on June 25, 2016. Launched 2003, this years’ event featured over 70 groups showcasing a vast array of traditions.

In addition to a colorful float and lively performances by the Divine Land Marching Band, the Falun Dafa contingent featured a section that informed the public about the persecution in China. Spectators showed appreciation and support.

Spectators: Important to Expose the Brutality

Cornelia Merscher, a website content editor from Hanover, said it is important to expose the brutality of the Communist Party, because many people do not know what is happening in China today. She said that organ harvesting from living Falun Dafa practitioners must be stopped.

Cornelia Merscher from Hanover said she supports Falun Dafa.

Local resident Wolfgang Schreiber was saddened by the brutal suppression of the peaceful Falun Dafa group in China. He asked for several blank petition forms so as to collect more signatures from his friends and family. He said public awareness is the first step for more people to take action to stop this atrocity.

Therse Wojcik from Western Germany said she liked the Divine Land Marchng Band very much. Having grown up in Poland, she said she knows well of the Communist Party’s brutal nature. She encouraged practitioners to tell more people about the persecution in China.

Support from Chinese Tourists

A large number of Chinese tourists visit Frankfurt every day.

A young Chinese couple who live in London said they were impressed by the Falun Dafa group’s procession, especially the marching band. The husband said they had heard about Falun Dafa back in the UK and he supports practitioners’ efforts to stop the persecution.

Dobo, a Tibetan who had signed a petition previously calling to end the persecution in China, signed another petition that supports the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, for persecuting Falun Dafa. Growing up in Qinghai, he never saw his father, who died as a result of torture by the Chinese communist regime. “Jiang is the worst, rotten to the core,” he said.

Dobo asked a practitioner for the location of the nearest group practice site, because he also wants to improve his health through this ancient practice.

Berlin, Germany: Supporting Freedom for Falun Gong at Brandenburg Gate

June 17, 2016 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in Germany

( Falun Gong practitioners have been gathering at the Brandenburg Gate tourist site every Saturday for the past several years to raise awareness about the gentle meditation practice of Falun Gong, and about the brutal persecution in China. Brandenburg Gate is one of the best-known landmarks in Germany and is a symbol of peace. Built in 1791, it has witnessed the country’s history for centuries.

Falun Gong practitioners tell people about Falun Gong and the persecution in China on June 11, 2016.

Communist Party Afraid of Good People

An Iranian woman who came to Germany recently stopped at the booth to learn more. Alarmed by the severe suppression depicted on the poster, she asked the practitioners many questions. The woman signed a petition and took informational materials with her.

One pedestrian said he had heard about the persecution in China, but did not know why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would do that. A practitioner explained, “This is because the CCP promotes violence and struggle, something contradicting with the principles of Falun Gong, which is, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

“Basically, the CCP is afraid of good people,” responded the man.

Based on reports received by the Minghui website, at least 4,000 named Falun Gong practitioners have lost their lives due to torture during police custody.

Stop Crimes Against Humanity

Several German residents said they had learned about the suppression from a program on 3SAT earlier this year. Human Harvest, an award-winning documentary exposing organ harvesting from imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in China, was aired by the television network of 3SAT in Germany on February 18, 2016.

Two tourists from another European country took notice of the banner on organ harvesting. “What is this?” asked one of them.

“This is what Falun Gong practitioners have suffered from in China for their belief,” explained a practitioner. Because Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the CCP had given orders of suppressing practitioners though violence and slanderous hate-propaganda, the persecution intensified after it started in July 1999. There is a lot of evidence that has confirmed that the regime has harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The two tourists signed the practitioners’ petition and thanked them, saying, “We have to do something to stop such horrible crimes.”

Germany: Falun Gong Wins Second Place at Lunen Multicultural Festival

June 12, 2016

( Falun Gong won the second place award at the Lunen City Multicultural Festival in North Rhine-Westphalia State on May 21, 2016.

Falun Gong won the second place award at the Lunen City Multicultural Festival.

Thirty-six organizations participated in the event, focused on introducing culture and food from around the world. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth, and also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, a traditional cultivation practice from ancient China, on-stage during the event.

Participating Falun Gong practitioners were very happy to share their personal experiences with the visitors.

Sergio, a flute player from Italy, said that he felt that Falun Gong had a magical power that connected to his life faster than he could imagine. He said he read a story about the persecution of Falun Gong in China in German media in February. This was his first exposure to Falun Gong.

The next day, he went to see a doctor for migraine headaches he had been having, and the doctor gave him a flier printed “Falun Gong” on the front. Back at home, while browsing a website about music, he saw the words “Falun Gong” again.

He believed that he must have some relation with Falun Gong, so he found a public practice site and learned more about the practice.

Sergio said, “Falun Gong is what I have been looking for even before I knew it existed. Practicing Falun Gong changed my life for the better.

“I used to be afraid of conflicts between people. Now I can calmly handle the personal issues. Of course, my migraines disappeared, too.”

Milena, an immigrant from Croatia, returned from New York a few days before the event. She had joined nearly 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in the celebration of the 24th anniversary of Falun Gong’s public introduction, and participated in a grand parade through Manhattan.

Milena commented, “I can feel the peaceful atmosphere here. People come here to hear more about Falun Gong, and they truly care about it.”

After introducing the merits of the practice, practitioners told visitors that a brutal persecution of Falun Gong has continued for more than 16 years in China.

A visiting couple said they knew that China had issues regarding human rights, but were not aware of the forced organ harvesting crimes. They signed a petition to help end the persecution and stop the forced organ harvesting.

When practitioners demonstrated the exercises on the stage, the host introduced the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” to the audience. He said that practitioners in more than 100 countries followed these principles in their daily lives, and experience positive life changes as a result.

Hamburg, Germany: People Oppose Organ Harvesting in China

May 24, 2016 | By Minghui correspondent Shirley

( It was a fine spring day in Hamburg, Germany, and the downtown area was swarming with tourists and local residents, as usual. Next to Reesendammbruecke, a tourist site more than 150 years old, Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth to raise awareness about the persecution in China, especially the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Seeing the mock operating table, one young man stopped to find out what had happened. After reading a poster nearby, provided by practitioners, he was astonished, “Really?! Is this actually happening in China?” After talking with one practitioner and learning about investigations by many third party organizations which have confirmed the atrocity, his expression went grim. In the end, he thanked the practitioner and encouraged him, “Please keep up good work. This is an important issue, and you must tell more people about it.”

Three teenaged girls walking past the booth were also drawn by the posters and banners. They said they had heard about the suppression in the past, and asked one practitioner why no officials had stopped such crimes. After the practitioner told them that the brutality was a nationwide suppression driven by the totalitarian Communist Party regime in China, the girls were disturbed by the cruelty, and said they would tell more people about it.

Many passersby were surprised to hear that the systematic persecution of Falun Gong has been ongoing for 17 years.

Jack and Emily, a couple from England currently working in Hamburg, saw the practitioners’ booth on the way to the Alster Lake with their friends. Although they had heard about the persecution in China previously from their friends, the vivid picture on the posters nonetheless shocked them. Both signed petitions calling to rescue local resident Ye Xiaojun’s mother, Ms. Ye Julan.

Like many other residents and tourists, Jack and Emily signed petitions to support Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Ye, 68, was arrested at home by Shanghai police in December 2014, and has since been detained. Putuo District Court sentenced her to a three-year prison term in May 2015. When Han Zheng, Party secretary of Shanghai, a sister city of Hamburg, visited Germany in early June 2015, several German news media reported on efforts by Falun Gong practitioners urging Ms. Ye’s release.

Hamburg, Germany: Commemorating “April 25” and Calling for an End to the Persecution

May 02, 2016 | By a German Minghui reporter

( To commemorate the peaceful protest of April 25 in Beijing in 1999, an informational event was held in downtown Hamburg with a vigil in front of the consulate.

On April 23, 2016, Falun Gong practitioners from Hamburg displayed a large banner in Chinese and German to draw attention to the 17th anniversary of Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful protest in Beijing, the largest peaceful protest in modern Chinese history.

In commemoration of April 25 – Calling for an end to the persecution

Triggered by the unjustified arrests of dozens of practitioners in nearby Tianjin and alarmed by the slanderous coverage of the incident, on April 25, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners from all over China went to Beijing to voice their concerns. Ten thousand practitioners went to the capital of China to report to the authorities that Falun Gong was a peaceful cultivation way that had restored their health and emphasized high moral principles.

They courageously stood up for their belief in the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Hamburg: 17 years after the “April 25 Event”

For the past 17 years, Falun Gong practitioners in Hamburg have been committed to informing the public about both the practice of Falun Gong and the persecution of Falun Gong that has gone on in China since July 1999 .

Nina Akbar, from Hamburg has been practicing Falun Gong since 1998 and still remembers the early days in Hamburg after April 25.

When asked when practitioners in Hamburg first started to draw attention to the persecution, Ms. Akbar replied, “The first thing we did was hold a Germany-wide activity in front of the Chinese Consulate in Bonn. Back then, we just held a vigil and distributed flyers, because we were not as well equipped then with an information table, etc. And we went to talk to the Chinese Consul. That was right after the persecution began in 1999. After that, we held different activities here in Hamburg. We also went to the Chinese Consulate General.

The first two times, the consul even received them.

“The then Consul General himself was very interested in the health benefits of Falun Gong, having read the book, Zhuan Falun, himself. Later, as pressure from the Chinese Communist Party on the consulates grew, we no longer had an opportunity to speak to the Consul personally.

“Then the first media reports were published about what was happening in China and what Falun Gong is. When the first arrests took place in China, reporters from the newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost came to our practice site. That was our first interview. We wanted to show what Falun Gong was, because we had benefited so much from it and because we wanted to clarify the facts to them. Before that, people here and in China only knew what Chinese propaganda said about Falun Gong – that it was a cult, a strange sect, etc.

“Later, we started to hold regular information activities in Hamburg – every week.

“Now the focus is on organ harvesting, the new form of evil. As David Kilgour, a Canadian prosecutor and former Secretary of State for Asia and the Pacific, said, ‘…people are being killed on demand and their organs are being sold, in order to turn this into a market.’”

The man in the gray jacket was horrified to learn about forced organ harvesting.
