October 29, 2016 | By Minghui correspondents Tang Xiuming in the U.K. and Wu Sijing in Germany

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in London recently called for public transparency at the annual UK-China Human Rights Dialogue.

On Thursday, practitioners assembled in front of 10 Downing Street and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, displaying banners and handing out flyers to raise public awareness of the 17-year-long persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Dr. Liu Wei, chair of the Falun Dafa Association in the UK, said, “We have noticed that the UK-China human rights dialogues have been done in the closed-door format. We cannot see any positive impacts of this closed-door dialogue on the 17-year-long persecution of Falun Gong in China.

“We must let the entire international community know about this brutal, intolerable persecution. Today, we come here to express our appeal for your attention. We hope the attendees of this dialogue, Chinese and British, will hear our voice.”

Falun Gong practitioners called upon the government of the UK to remain committed to respecting human rights and freedom of belief and to speak up on the issue of Falun Gong.

German government officials have indicated that the Falun Gong issue will be brought up at the EU-China Dialogue on Human Rights.

Baerbel Kofler from Germany’s Foreign Office invited several human rights organizations to a forum on human rights violations in China last Wednesday.

At the forum, Manyan Ng and Hubert Koerper from the International Society for Human Rights highlighted the severity of the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Two activists delivered to Kofler a petition signed by 21,000 German citizens that condemn the forced organ harvesting. They also briefed Kofler on the updated investigations into this crime by independent investigators.

Kofler promised that, “no matter what,” the forced organ harvesting issue will be brought up during the EU-China Dialogue on Human Rights.

Two days prior to the forum, two German lawmakers, Michael Brand and Martin Patzelt, had invited Falun Gong practitioners and other activists for a conversation on the issue of forced organ harvesting.

Patzelt said on his website that the German government should consider revising the laws related to organ transplants to prevent illegal trade in human organs.

London, UK: A Young Girl Comes Across Falun Gong

October 12, 2016 | By Minghui correspondent Tang Xiuming

(Minghui.org) Chloe, a young girl from a small town near London, UK, went to downtown London with her brother and grandparents on the afternoon of October 1. At Trafalgar Square, they came across Falun Gong practitioners raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, despite the steady rain.

Chloe was drawn by the demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises. She followed along with the movements for the first exercise and learned them quite quickly. This was her first introduction to Falun Gong.

A practitioner talked with her grandparents about the persecution in China. Another practitioner handed a flyer to Chloe, who gave it to her grandparents and then continued doing the hand gestures until the first exercise was complete.

Many passersby took notice of her as she learned the exercises with the practitioners. Large banners reading “Falun Dafa is good,” “The world needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and “Bring Jiang Zemin to justice” were also on prominent display.

After finishing the exercises Chloe said, “I feel relaxed, at peace, and I feel great!”

A practitioner handed her an origami lotus flower with a bookmark with the words “Falun Dafa is good” printed on it. The practitioner told her and her grandparents that they could learn more about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) online.

Background

Falun Gong was made public in 1992 in China and soon became very popular due to its marvelous effect on health improvement and morality. Out of paranoid for losing control and jealousy, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong in 1999.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs in the state-sanctioned persecution. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang’s directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Falun Gong practitioners across the world conduct raise awareness of the ongoing persecution and call for help to end it as soon as possible.

“I Won’t Go to China for an Organ Transplant”

October 02, 2015 | By a Falun Gong practitioner in the United Kingdom

(Minghui.org) “If I want to have an organ transplant, the organ must be from a consenting donor. It is unacceptable to get organs from donors without their consent. I won’t go to China for organ transplantation,” stated Louis, who is wheelchair-bound. Louis is planning to have kidney transplantation surgery. However, he was shocked after learning about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners who are under persecution in China.

Falun Gong practitioners were holding activities in downtown Liverpool on September 20, 2015, to raise awareness of the persecution in China. They displayed banners that read “Falun Dafa is good,” and posters exposing the persecution, especially the CCP’s live organ harvesting. Many local residents and tourists paused and read the posters and watched the practitioners’ exercise demonstration. A number of people talked to practitioners and shared their thoughts after learning about the brutalities taking place in China.

A Chinese Court Director Learns the Facts about the Persecution

A middle-aged Chinese woman read the posters carefully. She accepted informational materials from a practitioner and said emotionally, “This is quite different from what I’ve heard from the media in China.” She said that she was the director of a court and would read the information carefully.

There are many Chinese people in Liverpool. Many accepted the informational materials and renounced their membership in the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Some expressed their appreciation to the practitioners.

Several Chinese tourists asked for information about software to circumvent the CCP’s Internet blockade.
